In addition to our exhibit, we are honoured to have Melissa Rau, MD, nephrologist at Bellvitge University Hospital , present results of the multicentric UNITED-Dialysis clinical trial. The Nephrology Department at Bellvitge University Hospital is a leading center for kidney care and reference center for nephrological care in the region. Clinical partners of the study include Bellvitge University Hospital (Barcelona), Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Navarra University Hospital (Pamplona), Hospital del Mar (Barcelona), Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa and Hospital Sant Joan Despí Moisés Broggi.
The oral presentation “Detection and monitorization of peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis patients using high-resolution ultrasound and artificial intelligence” will present proof-of-concept results of our trained AI models for early detection and home monitoring of peritonitis, showing how Neonics® can accurately count white blood cells in the peritoneal effluent and therefore enabling early detection in an easy and non-invasive way.
