Kriba is very proud to announce that we have been selected for two oral presentation at satellite events of the prestigious MICCAI Conference, held in Marrakesh, Morrocco 6-10 October 2024. MICCAI is an international annual conference that brings together experts in medical imaging and computer-assisted interventions to explore cutting-edge research and applications in the healthcare field. Being selected to present results at MICCAI demonstrate the potential impact of our collaborative research and technology on the medical field to a highly expert audience.
Beatrice Jobst, PhD, Chief Data Officer at Kriba, has been selected to present a paper at the “MICCAI meets Africa workshop” held on October 6th. Her paper,”Deep Learning based Non-Invasive Meningitis Screening using High-Resolution Ultrasound in Neonates and Infants from Mozambique, Spain and Morrocco” will focus on the development and validation of deep Learning algorhythme that fuels our device Neosonics®.
Despite significant advances in using machine learning (ML) for medical imaging in high-income settings, there is a need to promote accessible solutions in low-to-middle-income countries to improve global healthcare. The aim of the workshop “MICCAI meets Africa” is to connect stakeholders from Africa and beyond to share experiences, showcase research, and promote ML initiatives for medical imaging in Africa, driving collaboration and innovation to address Africa-specific healthcare challenges and inspire similar efforts in resource-limited settings worldwide.
